Great start for the newly-established Sangiorgio Marine shipyard, with the launch and delivery of Alla Grande – Pirelli, Ambrogio Beccaria’s boat.
The construction of the Class 40 Alla Grande – Pirelli was entrusted to the newly-established Sangiorgio Marine shipyard of Edoardo Bianchi (part of the Genova Industrie Navali Group), formerly a Persico Marine project manager involved in the construction of Luna Rossa’s foiling boats and himself an Olympic sailor.
A project designed with power and control in mind and with a focus on sustainability, for racing solo on the ocean. With Alla Grande – Pirelli, Beccaria took part in the Route du Rhum, a transatlantic solo regatta that is held every four years and is considered one of the most important, adventurous and treacherous regattas in the world.
