Finsea Genoa is the holding company of a Group operating in the maritime field.

Its investments involve all sectors of the area widely known as "shipping" and specifically in Liner Ship Agency and Tramp, in the Port Terminals, in custom brokerage and logistics.

The growing globalization of the large Liner carriers, in the Liner Agency field, has led to the creation of a number of Ship Agencies specifically tailored to satisfy the requirements of any major shipowner and uniting the operative, administrative and IT functions in the Services Companies.

The revolution in the traditional maritime transport brought in by the containers, dramatically extended the areas of action of Liner Companies. They are now in all respects directly or indirectly involved in a global transportation system from production site to customer .

Shipping Agencies had to adapt to the new requirements of various shipping lines. This caused a significant diversification between Liner and Tramp Agents' activities.

For this reason, Finsea has created a specific company for the Tramp activity, in order to provide a service to shipowners and dry and liquid cargo traders.

The Tramp division can secure smooth operations and a speedy despatch of vessels.

The privatization of port operations during the first years of 1990, was considered by Finsea an important opportunity not only for the diversification of its activities, but also as the occasion to offer its customers highly qualified services in a very specific field of global transport. As a result Finsea, together with other partners, has become a leader also in the port terminals area.



Following the transport process from production to customer site, Finsea has created, together with the partners of the terminals, a specific company dedicated to intermodal transportation and with the ability to transfer the cargo from the ports to all the internal points and vice versa.
Finsea has also established a company tailored for port custom services: both vessels and cargo, require specific, precise and professional custom operations.

Recently Finsea had the opportunity to establish a partnership with a new company specialized in passengers, vessels and hotel operations. Consequently, Finsea is continuing to diversify its activities.
